ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Jennifer Young - welcome!

I hold a Masters (M.S.T.) in Childhood Education and a Masters (M.Ed) in Literacy. I am NYS dual Certified for Literacy; Birth - 6th Grade / 5th - 12th Grade and am LETRS trained; Vol. 1 & 2. Plus, I hold a certificate for ‘Overcoming Dyslexia’ through Yale and Dr. Sally Shaywitz, an internationally recognized leader in dyslexia research.

I have worked as a reading intervention teacher in every grade level, K through 12th grade, and truly love every stage of student learning! I have also worked as a Literacy curriculum instructional coach for five years.

In my spare time, I love to camp and travel with my husband now that our two daughters are grown. I also enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, and - of course - reading!
